Visio-based P&ID creation with structured engineering data

P&IDs are still often labelled, updated and maintained manually in different files. That costs time, increases coordination and quickly leads to inconsistent data. Classic CAD systems offer many functions, but for many tasks in basic engineering they are unnecessarily complex.

From the Visio drawing to the intelligent P&ID

The Visio P&ID Process Designer, VPID for short, extends Microsoft Visio with intelligent functions for creating standards-compliant P&IDs. Symbols, pipelines, measuring points and technical data are linked in an object-oriented way and managed centrally. As a cost-effective and easy-to-learn add-on, VPID supports process and sales engineers in the fast creation, checking and documentation of flow diagrams. Changes are taken over consistently in drawings, data and evaluations and are available for downstream processes.
