How can artificial intelligence deliver measurable value for industry and plant engineering? This question is at the heart of the CADISON International Conference (CIC), hosted by ITandFactory on 4 and 5 November 2026 in Bad Soden am Taunus, Germany. Under the theme “Engineering Intelligence: From Integrated Data to Smarter Plant Design”, the conference combines strategic perspectives on Industrial AI with practical examples, international user insights and a look at the future development of CADISON.
Industrial AI: From pilot projects to practical applications
The first day of the conference places a particular focus on artificial intelligence in industry. In his keynote “From AI to Industrial Intelligence”, Florian Stürmer, Partner at Strategy&, will explore how industrial companies can move from AI pilot projects to measurable results. Key topics include integrating AI into existing processes, the importance of reliable engineering data and the growing role of intelligent AI agents.
Falko Meier from Mainova AG will demonstrate how AI can already make workflows more efficient today. Using a specific CADISON application, he will show how Microsoft Copilot reduces the time required to create 46 customer-specific input forms from around 23 hours to approximately five hours, including quality checks.
The interactive discussion “CADISON & AI: Where do we go from here?” will then put users’ perspectives and expectations centre stage. Together with ITandFactory, customers and conference participants will discuss the potential and future applications of AI in engineering.
International experience and new technologies
Alongside Industrial AI, the conference offers further insights into digital plant design. Šenaj Lelic from Microsoft will present new perspectives on using Visio in plant engineering. International CADISON customers and partners will share practical examples from their day-to-day design work.
Another highlight is the preview of CADISON 2027. Scheduled for April 2027, the release will include enhanced capabilities for digitising existing P&IDs, new options for technical reviews and more efficient engineering workflows.
The second day of the conference will feature practical workshops for CADISON users.
