From existing plant data to connected digital engineering processes
How can existing plant data be used well, and how can better, more consistent processes for design, documentation and operation be developed from it?
Many companies face similar challenges: information exists in different formats, grown documentation structures make reuse harder, and at the same time the requirements for connected data, efficient collaboration and digital processes across the full plant lifecycle are rising.
Our practice update in Leipzig addresses exactly these topics. As ITandFactory we present, together with Neilsoft, current developments, concrete use cases and approaches from engineering practice.
AI-supported path to the intelligent P&ID
One focus is making existing documentation usable for modern engineering processes. This includes the AI-supported PDF-to-P&ID technology, with which PDF-based P&IDs can be transferred into structured, digital plant data. Building on that, we look at prospects for a consistent plant model, the Digital Twin and connected documentation from design through to operation.
In addition we give insights into current working models and practical questions around multidisciplinary collaboration, design reviews and digital engineering processes.
